Professional Cleaning and Painting Services Agreement

Service Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all cleaning and painting services ("Services") provided by K2D SOLUTIONS. By booking or using our Services, You agree to these Terms.

1. Services

  • The Company provides professional cleaning and/or painting services as agreed upon in writing or confirmed at the time of booking.
  • Any additional services not included in the original quotation will be subject to extra charges.
  • The Company reserves the right to decline work that may pose a risk to staff health, safety, or property.

2. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are based on the information provided by the Client and are valid for seven (7) days.
  • Prices may vary if the scope of work changes or if additional work is requested.
  • GST and other applicable taxes will be added where required.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed upon written acceptance or deposit (if required).
  • Payments must be made within two (2) days of invoice, prior to commencement of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% – 2% per month (18%–24% p.a.), calculated daily on overdue amounts.
  • The Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel services if payments are overdue.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client must provide safe access to the property and ensure water and electricity supply where required.
  • The Client is responsible for removing fragile, valuable, or sentimental items prior to work.
  • For painting services, all surfaces must be free from major structural damage, leaks, or dampness.
  • The Client must inform the Company of any hazards, security systems, or access instructions in advance.

4A. Furnished Apartment Cleaning

  • For furnished apartments, the Company will not move, lift, or dismantle any furniture, fixtures, or heavy appliances.
  • Additional items requiring detailed cleaning (fridge, sofa, microwave, cupboards, etc.) will be charged extra at standard rates.
  • The Company does not clean cutlery, crockery, or personal kitchenware items.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made less than 24–48 hours before the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee of $70. For regular cleaning clients, the full service fee may be charged.
  • The Company reserves the right to reschedule services in case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, staff illness, equipment failure).

6. Liability and Insurance

  • The Company carries Public Liability Insurance up to $10 million for accidental damage or injury.
  • The Company is not liable for pre-existing damage, fair wear and tear, or structural defects.
  • The Company will not be held responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

7. Warranty

  • Cleaning Services: Services are guaranteed for 48 hours after completion. Rectification must be requested within four (4) days of completion. One (1) rectification visit is included free of charge; further visits incur fees.
  • Painting Services: Workmanship is covered for poor application issues (peeling, blistering, flaking) but not for damage caused by external conditions, structural movement, leaks, neglect, or misuse.

8. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party breaches these Terms.
  • The Client remains liable for payment of all completed work up to the termination date.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and New South Wales (NSW).
  • In case of dispute, parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of ACT or NSW courts, depending on where the services were provided.

  • • Light sanding & preparation

  • • One coat primer/sealer where required
  • • Two coats of finish paint
  • • Floor & fixture protection

✗ Exclusions

  • • Major plastering or wall repairs
  • • Mould or water damage treatment
  • • Wallpaper removal
  • • Ceilings over 3m (unless agreed)
